THE Glasgow Regional Growth Summit

The first of our brand-new Regional Growth Summits promises a powerful day of practical business insight, expert guidance and meaningful industry connections

Presented by Professional Beauty and Hairdressers Journal International, the Glasgow Regional Growth Summit, taking place on April 27 at The Briggait, Glasgow, is the first in a series of three regional events designed to help salon and spa owners and senior managers strengthen, grow and future-proof their businesses. The other two summits will take place in Birmingham on May 11 and Leeds on June 8.

Visitors and delegates will learn practical strategies from industry experts, hear from inspiring speakers, connect with leading professional brands, explore new suppliers, and engage in commercially focused conversations that support smarter investment decisions for salons, spas and clinics.

11.15 – Empower your team to deliver: building structure, progression & loyalty

In this session, discover practical ways to set expectations, create career pathways and build loyalty within your team. Learn how strong leadership and supportive systems can turn talented staff into long-term ambassadors for your salon and how to motivate and incentivise the next generation.

12.00 – Sheryl Findlay: Gain rockstar confidence to take your business forward

An interactive, high-energy workshop to empower, inform, inspire and equip attendees with the tools, insights and strategies they need to intentionally drive their business and career forward. This will include skills to help sharpen focus, build a winning mindset and challenge limiting beliefs. Attendees will leave with clear actions, renewed motivation and practical tools to succeed at the highest level for longevity.

14.00 – Jo Simpson: Profit is not a dirty word – profit gives you freedom

In this session, Simpson will explore why profit matters more than you think, what taking action today really looks like and how thinking "profit first" can completely change the way beauty businesses manage their cashflow.

With social media dominating such a large portion of modern life, this panel explores how to create high impact content that converts followers into clients. Discover what to post, when to post it, and the trends worth following.

You’ll also learn where social fits in the marketing wider mix and how to maximise all methods, including email, referrals and promotions for a 360-degree approach to success.

15.45 – Charge smarter, sell better: service pricing & retail strategies

Pricing and retail are two of the most powerful, and often most underused, drivers of salon profitability. Our panel of experts will explore how salon owners can price services with confidence, position retail more effectively, and build revenue without relying on constant discounting or simply working more hours. Leave with practical insights on how to protect margins, increase average spend and create a financially sustainable business.
