How Natura Bissé’s C+C Vitamin 20% Antiox Solution strengthens skin against oxidative ageing

In modern life, skin is under constant assault. Pollution, UV exposure, stress and fatigue accelerate oxidative stress, one of the primary drivers of visible ageing. Over time, this process weakens the skin’s natural defence mechanisms, compromising luminosity, elasticity and overall vitality.

For skincare professionals, addressing this “oxy-ageing” pathway has become essential. Natura Bissé’s C+C Vitamin 20% Antiox Solution has been developed with this challenge in mind: to reinforce skin homeostasis while delivering visible rejuvenation.

A formulation challenge

Vitamin C remains one of the most researched antioxidant ingredients in aesthetic skincare. Yet high concentrations present stability and efficacy challenges. Natura Bissé’s R&D team approached this by combining 12% pure ascorbic acid with a synergistic antioxidant complex, including turmeric extract, pine bark extract and carnosine, creating a 20% antioxidant cocktail in a waterless formula designed to preserve potency over time.

The results are significant. Independent laboratory testing using ABTS and FRAP assays demonstrated that the combined formula delivers three times greater antioxidant power than ascorbic acid alone. Further testing showed it enhances the skin’s own antioxidant defence mechanisms by nearly 50%, helping to combat oxidative damage while maintaining cutaneous balance.

The research was selected from more than 700 submissions for presentation at the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC), reinforcing the formulation’s scientific credibility.

Clinical performance

Efficacy was assessed in a 28-day study involving 30 women aged 35+ with dull, lacklustre skin. Instrumental measurements were supported by participant self-assessment. After four weeks:

• 96% reported improved hydration

• 90% noticed greater elasticity

• 90% said their complexion looked more vital and less dull

• 86% perceived skin as softer and brighter.

For clinics and spas, this positions C+C Vitamin 20% Antiox Solution as both an intensive treatment enhancer and a high-performance retail recommendation. Ultra-concentrated yet silky in texture, the anhydrous serum delivers immediate glow while working long term to visibly smooth wrinkles, refine texture and fade dark spots.

A brand with heritage

Founded in Barcelona in 1979, Natura Bissé is now led by the second generation of the Fisas family. With a philosophy rooted in combining pioneering technology with the expertise of skilled aestheticians, the brand has built a global presence in over 60 countries.

The award-winning brand continues to invest in innovation while remaining committed to social responsibility through the Ricardo Fisas Natura Bissé Foundation.

With C+C Vitamin 20% Antiox Solution, the brand reinforces its focus on clinically supported antioxidant skincare.
