ET AL MAGNETIC MAKEUP PALETTE LAUNCH

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR ACTIVE AGEING, LONDON

Makeup brand Et Al hosted a relaxed drop-in event at the International Institute for Active Ageing to introduce its latest launches, including the new Magnetic Makeup Palettes. Leading MUAs and beauty editors, including PB editor Eve Oxberry, were invited to explore the brand’s range during morning and afternoon sessions. Designed for convenience, the new Magnetic Palette houses Et Al’s Skin Protect Powder Foundation, Versatile Blush and Complexion Glow, allowing consumers and makeup pros alike to create a compact, travel-friendly kit. Attendees also had the chance to meet the team including IIAA director Tracy Tamaris and Et Al head of brand Anushka Patel, and learn more about the brand’s approach to skin-first makeup.

PAULINE DUJANCOURT, LONDON FASHION WEEK

180 THE STRAND, LONDON

Senior content writer Josie Jackson was out and about during London Fashion Week, heading backstage and front row to take a closer look at the makeup and nail trends shaping the runways. This included Pauline Dujancourt’s A/W show, where Crystabel Efemena Riley led the makeup direction. The collection drew inspiration from the history of witchcraft, referencing a time when women’s behaviour and self-expression were heavily restricted for fear of persecution. Reflecting this narrative, the makeup was deliberately restrained; it featured softly smoked-out eyeshadow paired with fresh, natural skin. There was a distinct lack of bold blush or bronzer, further emphasising the idea of women holding back or concealing their individuality. The result appeared understated, but when regarded with context, felt modern and quietly powerful.

OPENING OF ART CLINIC BY DR PRIYA VERMA

BELGRAVIA, LONDON

The official opening of Art Clinic by Dr Priya Verma in Belgravia introduced the new medical aesthetics and beauty space to industry guests and journalists, including deputy editor Ellen Cummings. The evening reception, held at the clinic itself, began with cocktails and canapés and provided an opportunity to explore the facility and meet the team behind the new practice. Founded by GP and aesthetic doctor Dr Priya Verma, Art Clinic focuses on non-surgical aesthetic treatments and skin health, with a particular emphasis on energy-based devices, injectables and regenerative approaches. During the event, Dr Verma spoke about the clinic’s philosophy of combining medical expertise with a personalised, multi-modality treatment approach.
