Et Al press breakfast

Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, London

To celebrate its launch into Harvey Nichols, makeup brand Et Al hosted a breakfast and networking event. PB’s senior content writer Ellen Cummings and editorial assistant Erin Leybourne were invited to the Fifth Floor Bar to meet the Et Al team and try the new Intelligent Skin Radiant Foundation. Attendees had the opportunity to get shade-matched in the new foundation, with a team led by makeup artist Justine Jenkins.

Guests also heard from Anushka Patel, head of Et Al, and Dr Gaby Prinsloo, medical director at IIAA, who gave insight into their development and manufacturing processes, including the clinical trials done on ingredients, and then the product as a whole, to ensure it meets its claims. The duo expressed their enthusiasm about the launch into Harvey Nichols.

Revitalash press breakfast

Future Dreams House, London

PB deputy editor Kezia Parkins was invited along to Future Dreams House, which provides in-person and virtual support for breast cancer sufferers, to meet the founder of Revitalash Dr Michael Brinkenhoff and hear his story of founding the brand after his wife Gayle lost all her lashes due to chemotherapy.

Guests heard about the collaboration between Revitalash and Future Dreams, which has been going for three years, and the brand donated £100 to the organisation on behalf of everyone in attendance. Revitalash’s Eternally Pink commitment means a portion of the proceeds for every product sold goes back into breast cancer research.

Attendees also heard about an exciting initiative Revitalash is involved in with Los Angeles’ leading cancer treatment and research centre, City of Hope, regarding a potential breakthrough cancer treatment, currently in its first phase of clinical trials.

Hair & Beauty Charity Summer Party

Doggett’s Coat & Badge, London

The sun came out for the annual Hair & Beauty Charity Summer Party, and so did the hair and beauty industry. Gathering on the terrace at London pub Doggett’s Coat & Badge, industry faces included PB’s columnist Hellen Ward and executive director Jayne Lewis Orr. The party celebrated the dedication and hard work of the Hair & Beauty Charity team and its sponsors and supporters, who have helped make a real difference to the lives of its beneficiaries. Earlier this year, the Hair & Beauty Charity reported a significant rise in young people requesting help, as well as a notable increase in those from the beauty sector. Guests at the party kicked off the proceedings with welcome drinks, followed by a DJ set and dancing.
