3 tips for completing your entry
1. Consider your application in advance: read through the questions on the website and make notes in advance to make sure you can cover everything that makes you or your business special within the word count. You can save your entry as you go along, so don’t feel pressured to complete it in one go but do set yourself a reminder so you don’t miss the final deadline.
2. Give examples: it’s vital to get across your point of difference and what makes your business unique, and the key to that is giving examples and being really specific. It’s not enough to say “we treat every client as an individual”. Instead, tell the judges how you do that, giving examples of what you do that your local competitors don’t.
3. Write from the heart: you need to share the facts and figures but also what’s special about your business and your team. Don’t be tempted just to copy and paste from your website or ask Chat GPT to write your entry for you. Judges want to see your personality and passion.
