Professional Beauty’s website gets a makeover

After months of hard work, we are thrilled to reveal our brand-new website, which has received a sleek makeover just in time for PB London 2024.

Not only does the website look a lot chicer, but you will also find an optimised user experience and search functionality enabling you to locate the stories, tips and education that mean the most to you even faster.

“I love the new PB website,” says Hayley Snishko, PB London speaker and two-time finalist of Therapist of the Year at the Professional Beauty Awards. “It’s so clean and easy to use.”

What is the appropriate age to start using vitamin C, A HAs and retinoids in skincare?

Martyna Blank, skin specialist, MB Aesthetics, London: “Age is just a number, it’s the skin concern that we are trying to help with. As far as I remember, from years ago, when I was trained by Environ skincare, even babies could have some of the mildest retinoids applied on their skins. Skin is an organ so we treat it like an organ, not an age.”

Eva James, owner of Eva James Facialist, Chorley: “Before we recommend the use of actives we should address the following: gut health, stress levels, lifestyle, skincare routine; for example, method of cleansing (not wipes ), how often they are cleaning their make-up brushes, etc, omega supplements to help calm skin inflammation and SPF are they using daily? Actives in general would be started mid-twenties unless advised by a specialist.”

Astrid Tomczak, founder, Aging in Balance Academy, Germany: “It is the same over here in Germany and I‘m so fed up with it. Also, a lot of so-called meso products have the same regularity weaknesses but are frequently used. We are making it too easy for these kinds of manufacturers!”
