When choosing which nail shades to purchase, professionals primarily consider client requests (32%) and trending colours on social media (21%), ensuring that they stay on top of the latest looks while also meeting customers’ needs. Similarly, this dedication to building strong relationships with clients was reflected in the data, which showed that 75% of respondents offer a client loyalty scheme.
Nail techs’ commitment to safe working practices that protect themselves and their clients helps to further strengthen relationships and loyalty, with a high percentage of professionals changing gloves between each client (88%) and wearing face masks or visors (50%).

Nail business for the Insider Nails page was calculated from data provided by salons that offer nail services among other treatments. The figures given represent the average score for each answer. Brands are ranked when mentioned by several respondents.
