June was a good month for beauty business owners, with the majority of you reporting growth in both treatment and retail business compared to the same month last year.
When it comes to which skincare ingredients clients are asking for in their treatments, retinoids proved most popular, with 44% of respondents experiencing clients asking for this group of actives. Other popular choices were hyaluronic acid (38%) and vitamin C (25%). You can read more about another trending ingredient, squalane, in our feature on page 76.
Interestingly, 56% of respondents to this month’s survey currently use or are considering implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in their operations. This showcases the industry’s continuing dedication to embracing new technologies in order to enhance customer experiences and streamline business processes.
