From ramped-up facials to immersive wellness services, 2021 treatments are being given a high-tech makeover

Germaine de Capuccini Timexpert Rides Eye and Lip Therapy Treatment

The Spanish brand’s latest treatment targets both expression lines and wrinkles around the eyes, helping to reduce the signs of dark circles and ageing, as well as softening and plumping the lip contours.

Timexpert Rides Eye and Lip Therapy begins with a cleanse using the Japanese Kirei cleanse technique and exfoliation with Germaine de Capuccini’s Synergyage AOX Lactobionic Acid Peel System. Timexpert Rides Dynamic and Static Wrinkle Balm is then applied, combining blefaroplex, BTX-tripeptine and the brand’s tissulage technology, to prevent the effects of glycation, improve collagen, neutralise the effect of facial dermo contractions and regenerate the extracellular matrix.

This is followed by facial cupping to increase absorption of ingredients and stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis. Eye yoga massage is then preformed to re-sculpt the eye area, before application of the Anti Fatigue Aqua Patch Mask. A soothing rose quartz gua sha massage is then performed to boost the lymphatic flow of the face, reducing puffiness and improving firmness of the facial contours.

Germaine de Capuccini recommends charging £50 for the 40-minute treatment or £25 for a 25-minute Eyes or Lip add-on to an existing facial. Call the brand on 0845 600 0203

The Biohacking Orb

The Biohacking Orb is a new platform for touchless, self-administered treatments that allows spas to offer a way for clients to realise their wellness goals without the need for therapist time. The Orb treatment chair has been designed for ultimate comfort – its “cocoon” design puts clients in the right physical posture for relaxation and is combined with aromatherapy inhalation and sound therapy via headphones.

The Orb can be placed in a spa relaxation space or as a paid therapy in a private treatment room and has seven treatment journeys designed around evidencebased wellness modalities, such as neuroacoustic sound therapy, vibroacoustic therapy, mandala chakra chromotherapy and aromatherapy inhalation.

Treatment journeys range from Quick Fix treatments, which last only 15 minutes, to longer 45-minute Refresh and Recharge experiences to reinvigorate and reset the mind and body. Other available treatment journeys include Reframing Anxiety, Chakra Balancing, Rescue Remedy, and Healing and Recovery.

The Orb is controlled via an app, which suggests one of the treatment options based on a user’s desired result.
