It’s been a good month for the nails sector, with treatment and retail figures up on last year, resulting in 39 nail services performed on average per week in salons and spas.

Your treatments are most popular with clients in the 26 to 35 age bracket and you say the biggest challenges your techs are currently dealing with are time management and staying on top of the latest trends and nail art techniques.

METHODOLOGY Insider is compiled from a monthly telephone survey of spas and beauty salons. The people who participated represent a cross-section of the industry and were polled by phone from December 5–7, regarding business for the month to November 30. Nail business for the Insider Nails page was calculated from data provided by spas and salons that offer nail services among other treatments. The figures given represent the average score for each answer. Brands are ranked when mentioned by several respondents.
