Relaxing massage, resurfacing and targeted cooling feature in these treatments designed to boost radiance and support skin renewal
Kaeso professional treatments
Kaeso has relaunched its professional treatment range with 14 protocols covering facials, body treatments, specialist rituals and hand and foot care.
The treatments use flowing, spiral-based movements inspired by the golden ratio and Fibonacci sequence, with techniques tailored to different skin concerns and goals.
The H2O Hydrating Spiral Facial, for example, begins with guided breathing and cleansing, followed by grain exfoliation and facial massage. H2O toner, serum, eye gel and moisturiser are then applied using upward sweeping and tapping movements. Meanwhile, the B3 Calming Spiral Facial takes a gentle approach, incorporating cooling techniques, a mask and iced globes.
Body treatments include the Solar Stone Ritual, which combines warmed basalt stones with effleurage, zigzag kneading and figure-of-eight movements, and the Back Cleansing Ritual, featuring dry brushing, exfoliation, a Rasul mud application and scalp massage.
Other protocols include the Tension Release Sequence, using acupressure and aromatherapy, and the Signature Spiral Journey, combining massage, a body wrap, facial and breathwork.
Kaeso recommends that salons and therapists set their own pricing. 0141 812 5000 kaeso.co.uk
Tried & tested: pHformula and Clinical CryoCalm facial
The lowdown: pHformula specialises in advanced skin resurfacing treatments, combining active ingredients with technologies designed to support skin renewal. Its UK distributor, Aspire Skin, has introduced Clinical CryoCalm, a cooling device designed to soothe skin, reduce redness and enhance comfort following advanced treatments.
The experience: After a very busy few days at Professional Beauty London, my skin was looking about as exhausted as I felt – dehydrated, dull and a little puffy. So, a bespoke facial with pHformula lead educator Gemma Halil at The Lodsworth Clinic in Haslemere was exactly what I needed.
Halil has treated me several times before, so she knows my skin well and how much it can tolerate. After a relaxing cleanse, she applied pHformula's S.P. complex, containing glycolic and mandelic acids to exfoliate and brighten.
Next came Mesoresurfacing, a liquid microneedling treatment using hydrolysed spicules to create microscopic pathways in the skin and encourage renewal. It felt slightly prickly, but I actually preferred it to traditional microneedling. I love the hands-on element of a facial, which can sometimes be missing from microneedling treatments.
Halil followed this with pHformula's A.G.E. 1+2 resurfacing complex, before using the Protonpen to infuse the brand's new plant-derived PDRN Active Cubes and hyaluronic acid solution, to support skin repair and hydration. Despite the impressive-sounding technology, I couldn't feel a thing.
By this point, my skin was feeling a little spicy from all the activity, so the finishing touch of Clinical CryoCalm was particularly welcome. The cooling device was gently glided across my skin, providing an instantly soothing sensation.
Throughout, Halil explained the science behind each stage without compromising the relaxation element.
The verdict: My skin looked noticeably fresher immediately afterwards. There was some redness later that evening, but by the following morning it had settled, leaving my skin looking clear, glowing and revitalised. I could barely feel the spicules by then, although Halil assured me they were still working.
I loved that the treatment combined advanced techniques with the pampering feel of a traditional facial, while CryoCalm provided a welcome moment of calm.
Business benefits: At £26, CryoCalm offers an accessible addition to advanced facial protocols, helping practitioners prioritise client comfort and post-treatment care. Its suitability for home use also creates a great retail opportunity.

Skeyndor Microspicule Matrix PHX
Microspicule Matrix PHX is a professional treatment combining microspicule technology with targeted skincare actives. The protocol follows four stages: Prepare, Activate, Comfort and Finalise.
Treatment begins with cleansing, peeling and toning, followed by one of five Complex Pro formulations, selected according to the client’s skin concerns. Options include Lifting for firmness and fine lines, Replenishing for skin density, Revitalizing for skin vitality, Brightening for radiance and Tone Perfecting for complexion uniformity.
Energizing Cream Pro is then applied as the activation step. Formulated with 10,000ppm marine-derived microspicules and NAD+, it forms part of a system that also includes a Regenerative Activation Matrix, combining PDRN, hyaluronic acid and NAD+.
The comfort stage uses a Menthol Neuro-Cooling Complex and Cooling Skin-Comfort Peel-Off Mask, before the treatment is completed with SPF product Age Photo Defense to protect.
Skeyndor has carried out three clinical studies involving 33 volunteers who received five treatments over 35 days. The anti-ageing protocol recorded a 30% reduction in wrinkle area and a 15.3% improvement in elasticity. The depigmenting protocol recorded a 68.9% reduction in melanin and a 28.1% increase in luminosity.
A complementary homecare programme featuring Vita Brightening Booster, ExoAA Firming Booster and Energizing Cream is designed to support ongoing care between professional treatments.
Skeyndor UK recommends charging £175 for the professional treatment. 01473 934660 / skeyndor.uk
Tried & tested: Doma Lift Ritual
The lowdown: Created by facialist Donna Maneva, the Doma Lift Ritual is a holistic facial rejuvenation treatment combining deep muscular sculpting, fascial release, lymphatic drainage and sound therapy. Drawing on Maneva's 20-plus years of experience and training in Thai medical massage, the treatment aims to release facial tension, improve definition and promote relaxation.
The experience: Between busy work schedules and the general stresses of life, I'm fairly certain I spend more time clenching my jaw than I'd like to admit. So, when I was invited to experience the Doma Lift Ritual with its creator, Donna Maneva, at her Harley Street clinic, I was intrigued.
Despite its location in London's famously clinical medical district, the clinic felt wonderfully warm and welcoming, setting the tone for what turned out to be an incredibly relaxing experience.
The treatment is entirely hands-on, combining several specialist massage techniques that work beyond the skin's surface to address muscular tension and facial structure.
Maneva began with gentle lymphatic drainage to encourage fluid movement and reduce puffiness, before progressing to deeper sculpting and fascial-release techniques. These are designed to release restrictions in the connective tissue and muscles, helping to restore a more lifted, defined appearance.
Despite the intensity suggested by terms such as "deep muscular work", I found the entire experience surprisingly soothing. Maneva's expertise was evident in the precision of her movements, and it was fascinating to experience just how much could be achieved through skilled manual techniques.
One particularly memorable element was the Himalayan singing bowl sound therapy. Maneva used the bowls' vibrations to encourage deeper relaxation, even placing one on my abdomen. It was an unusual sensation, but one that added another dimension to the ritual.
The verdict: Maneva took before-and-after photographs, and I was genuinely impressed by the difference. My face looked visibly lifted and sculpted, with noticeably less puffiness. Beyond the aesthetic benefits, the treatment offered a welcome opportunity to switch off.
What impressed me most was Maneva's depth of knowledge and the skill behind every movement. It felt like far more than your average facial massage, combining tangible results with a genuinely restorative experience.
Business benefits: For therapists looking to differentiate their facial offering, the Doma Lift Ritual provides a premium, holistic treatment combining visible sculpting benefits with relaxation. Maneva offers a four-day, CPD-accredited Practitioner and Master training course through Doma Academy, covering facial anatomy, fascial release, muscular techniques and sound therapy. The method also incorporates Doma Night Elixir, creating a potential homecare retail opportunity.
