Manual techniques meet advanced technology in these treatments designed to address a range of skin concerns

Estime & Sens Draining Facial with Lymphatic Brushes

Estime & Sens is launching a 45-minute draining facial treatment using Cecily Braden’s patented lymphatic brushes, which can also be booked as a 20-minute add-on.

The treatment uses dry brushing techniques across the face and neck to stimulate superficial lymphatic vessels and encourage fluid circulation. The brushes feature a specific bristle density designed to conform to the skin, with a softer, longer-bristled brush for the face and a firmer version for the face, neck, scalp and body. Techniques include static rotation, stretch and release, stretch and sweep, zigzag movements and other directional strokes, following the pathways of the lymphatic system. The protocol is 100% manual and is supported by training covering lymphatic anatomy and brush technique.

The system is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and compromised skin.

Tried & tested: Hydra Pure+ Signature facial

The lowdown: Hydra Pure+ is an advanced skin management system developed in partnership with professional skincare brand BeautyLab London. Combining nine technologies in one platform, it allows therapists to build customised face-and-body treatments incorporating skin analysis, hydra dermabrasion, ultrasonic extraction, ultrasound, jet infusion mesotherapy, radiofrequency, diamond dermabrasion and LED light therapy.

Four core facial protocols are available. The 60-minute Signature treatment combines deep cleansing, exfoliation and extraction with skin-tightening technology, peptide infusion and LED light therapy. It is designed to restore hydration, improve texture and enhance radiance, with no downtime.

The experience: I visited the Gerrard International head office in Borehamwood, where Hydra Pure+ founder and chief executive Jennifer Finestone performed the treatment.

My skin is combination but dehydrated and prone to hormonal breakouts, so a facial able to address congestion without compromising hydration sounded ideal. The Signature protocol incorporates the key stages of the 30-minute Express facial, with additional steps for skin rejuvenation and age management.

Hydradermabrasion exfoliates while removing impurities and infusing the skin with BeautyLab solutions. These include Hydra Cleanse, formulated with glycolic and lactic acids alongside papaya, mint and chamomile; Hydra Peel, containing salicylic and glycolic acids; and Hydra Infuse, which combines hyaluronic acid, plant collagen, hexapeptide-8 and aloe vera.

The Signature treatment also uses technology to support firming and improve product absorption. Ultrasound helps to enhance serum penetration, while radiofrequency delivers controlled energy to support collagen production and skin firmness. A concentrated peptide serum is infused to help smooth and plump the complexion before LED light therapy completes the protocol. With seven light options available, this stage can be selected according to the client’s individual skin concerns.

Despite packing several technologies into the hour, the treatment still felt like a complete facial rather than simply a succession of machine-led steps.

The verdict: My skin looked noticeably brighter and felt more hydrated after the treatment, without any redness or downtime. The combination of exfoliation, extraction and hydration made it particularly well suited to my sometimes contradictory skin concerns, leaving my complexion refreshed without feeling stripped.

Business benefits: With four protocols and targeted add-ons for areas including the eyes, lips, neck, décolleté and hands, Hydra Pure+ gives salons plenty of scope to personalise treatments and encourage upgrades. The system also includes in-person training, technical support and BeautyLab treatment protocols.

Hydra Pure+ recommends charging £85–£105 for the Signature treatment. hydrapureplus.com / beautylab.co.uk / gerrardinternational.com
