July delivered encouraging results for salon businesses, with almost half (48%) reporting stronger treatment business compared with July 2025 and a further 42% maintaining last year’s performance. With just 10% experiencing a decline, the figures point to resilient demand for professional beauty services over the summer. Average treatment room occupancy also reached a healthy 71%, suggesting diaries remained busy despite the holiday season.
Beauty maintenance proved particularly valuable, with waxing, brows, lashes and similar services generating the strongest summer growth for 49% of salons. Facial and skin treatments followed closely at 44%, showing that clients are continuing to invest in both regular upkeep and results-driven skincare. Massage and body treatments led growth for the remaining 7%.
