August 2025 was another strong month for many salons, with treatment business continuing to show resilience and growth. Almost half of salon owners (45%) reported stronger treatment revenue compared to August 2024, while a further 43% maintained steady performance. This consistency, combined with an impressive 70% average treatment room occupancy, reflects ongoing client demand for professional services, even during summer.
When it comes to staff expectations, most business owners believe retail can and should be part of the team’s role, provided the right training and support are in place. In fact, 25% viewed it as a core responsibility.
Interestingly, a huge 83% of salon owners agreed that treatment prices across the industry are set too low, suggesting a shared recognition of the need to ensure pricing reflects both expertise and rising business costs.
