With three competitions and over 15 categories taking place at Professional Beauty North, there’s never been a better chance to showcase your skills

The Professional Beauty North competitions are back this autumn, returning with some familiar favourites, plus an exciting new opportunity.

Designed to challenge entrants both creatively and technically, these competitions provide students and professionals with a platform to showcase their skills and gain recognition.

Think you’ve got what it takes to win? Keep reading to find out how you can get involved in the nail, makeup and facial competitions, running at Manchester Central Convention Centre on September 29-30, 2025.

Nail Competitions

Nail competitions are returning to Professional Beauty North in collaboration with Jacqui and Sean O’Sullivan. Both students and professionals are invited to take part, with eight categories open across the two days.

This is the perfect opportunity to push yourself technically and creatively, while gaining recognition for your skills.

Makeup Competitions

Makeup competitions are also returning to Manchester, with five categories open to students and professionals. Judged by top industry professionals, let your skills be seen by the best. From beautiful bridal looks to animalistic body art, there’s something for all makeup artists.

Facial Competitions

New to Professional Beauty North, Beauty Skills UK gives competitors the chance to show off their skills and battle it out in a competition covering makeup, nails and facials.

Categories:

• Facial – 60-minute facial treatment, with either a hand or arm massage, or scalp massage.

• Manicure – 45-minute manicure focusing on perfect and safe preparation of the cuticle and surrounding skin, and immaculate painting using traditional nail polish.

• Bridal – Choose from glamorous, natural or traditional, with two hours to encapsulate your bride’s unique essence through impeccable makeup, hair, nails and overall styling.
