3D Symposium of Skin

Royal College of General Practitioners, London

Hosted by 3D Aesthetics, the Symposium of Skin brought together leading clinical voices, expert practitioners and top suppliers for a packed day of insight and innovation in non-surgical aesthetics.

PB’s features editor Ellen Cummings attended the event, where the conference offered a mix of expert-led education and practical strategies, with sessions covering facial anatomy, menopause care, regenerative medicine, post-procedure recovery, and emerging tech such as AI-led consultations and exosome therapy. Speakers including Megan Crowhurst, Anna Baker and Tracey Dennison delivered talks that kept the audience engaged throughout the day. Beyond the conference room, attendees explored an exhibition showcase featuring brands like Hydropeptide and Vagaro, while Professional Beauty and sister brand Aesthetic Medicine welcomed delegates to our stand to share information about our magazines, trade shows and awards.

Opatra Wellness Day

Glass House Retreat, Essex

Aesthetics devices brand Opatra chose Essex spa Glass House Retreat as the location for a wellness day. PB deputy editor Kezia Parkins went along and was greeted with a beautiful breakfast followed by a session on some ayurvedic techniques such as lymphatic drainage and naval oiling with Dimple Amani, before learning more about Opatra’s extensive range of devices. Before lunch Kezia got to try Opatra’s Pelvio chair, which not only improves pelvic floor muscles but can also help with menstrual cramps. After, the guests, who included a group of therapists, spa consultants and hormonal doctors such as Dr Shirin Makhani and Dr Mayoni Gooneratne, heard from facialist Smita Ahluwalia about how to layer treatments and technologies to achieve best results for menopausal clients. The day finished with a sound bath and on-the-mat session with event organiser Charlotte Body where everyone discussed how we speak about the state of women’s health and how better to support each other.

Medik8 Renewal and Radiance Retreat

Templeton Gardens, London

Medik8 hosted a tranquil overnight Renewal and Radiance Retreat at London’s Templeton Garden hotel, giving beauty press – including Kezia and Ellen – a first look at two exciting launches: the C-Tetra Advanced vitamin C serum and the Crystal Retinal Age-Defying Facial.

The event started with experiencing the new Crystal Retinal Age-Defying Facial, which combines Medik8’s powerhouse retinal formula with a bespoke massage technique to enhance absorption and deliver instant lifting and contouring effects.

There was also a dinner at the on-site restaurant Pippin’s, where master facialist Michaella Bolder shared insights into her collaboration with Medik8 on the new signature facial. Guests were then treated to a calming overnight stay, complete with a vitamin C-themed breakfast and presentation by Medik8’s head of product strategy, innovation and research, Hannah Biggerstaff, who delved into the science behind the brand’s most advanced vitamin C yet.

Club Mac opening and makeup masterclass

Central London

Last month, the team got up to mischief with Mac. Kezia, Ellen and editorial assistant Erin Leybourne were invited to “Club Mac”, the grand relaunch of Mac’s flagship in Carnaby Street. Designed to be an immersive, community-first space, Club Mac offers a fresh take on the typical makeup counter by blending product discovery with entertainment, education, and live events. The event was a who’s who of iconic MUAs including Mac’s global head of artistry and Glow-up judge Dominic Skinner, with DJs spinning the decks and cocktails flowing.

Kezia was also invited to Mac Covent Garden for a makeup masterclass with MUA Louise Ridsdale. She wanted to learn a light grunge style and Ridsdale understood the assignment, helping her achieve a stunning look.

Revitalash Revealed dinner

Jeru, London

The beautiful Jeru restaurant was the location for a celebratory dinner with Revitalash and the team from the brand’s UK distributor, Harpar Grace International. Before the meal Kezia went along to meet Lori Jacobus, the brand’s president and CMO for a catch up and to learn about the brands exciting new launch – Revitaeyes – an advanced serum designed specifically for clinics to retail to their clients.

Guests, including Kezia and Ellen, then got to enjoy a delicious Mediterranean meal while Jacobus talked them through the heritage of the brand, the money that Revitalash has raised towards a breast cancer cure with their Eternally Pink Pledge, and the exciting new launch. The brand also donated £100 in all guests’ names to cancer research.
