The spa sector showed impressive growth in May 2025, with 52% of respondents reporting an uplift in treatment revenue compared to May 2024. Retail also saw encouraging signs, with 35% achieving improved sales and over a third maintaining last May’s performance. Treatment room occupancy averaged a healthy 65%, showing that client demand for professional wellness experiences remains high.

Client care continues to take priority, with 61% of spa leaders stating they would not consider shortening treatment times to boost turnover, and nearly a third open to the idea only if quality remains unaffected.

Team culture also matters – 97% of spa managers said they would not hire someone with a poor attitude, regardless of ability, reinforcing the industry’s emphasis on positive environments and exceptional service.
