Germaine de Capuccini Expert Lab Tec-Exosome System

Germaine de Capuccini has introduced the Expert Lab Tec-Exosome System, a new bio-regenerative facial protocol joining its Expert Lab range. Developed as a professional-to-home system, it combines an in-clinic treatment using two salon vials with supporting homecare to improve skin repair, regeneration and hydration over time.

The protocol is based on the patented Tec-Exosome formulation, which comprises tulsi extract, enoxolone and acetyltetrapeptide-2, to support cellular communication and skin renewal.

The professional treatment allows therapists to tailor the facial according to skin condition, with the Tec-Exosome PDRN Complex vial focused on regeneration and firmness and the Tec-Exosome HA Complex vial on hydration and comfort. Clinical and instrumental testing showed improvements in collagen, elasticity, skin roughness and moisture retention. The system is designed to deliver immediate improvements while supporting skin resilience.

Germaine de Capuccini recommends charging £120-£200 depending on treatment and location. germainedecapuccini.com/uk_en

Tried & tested: Skin by Eden Signature Bespoke Facial

The lowdown: Skin by Eden is a results-led skin clinic in Kensington founded by Eden Girmaye. With a philosophy rooted in treating the skin from the inside out, Girmaye blends holistic principles with clinical techniques to address concerns such as pigmentation, acne scarring, sensitivity and premature ageing. Every treatment begins with a detailed consultation and is fully customised, with Eden’s Signature Bespoke Facial available in both 70-and 120-minute options.

The experience: From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt intentionally unhurried, which was a welcome contrast to the bustle of London just outside. During the consultation, Girmaye asked not only about my skin concerns but also lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep and general wellbeing, which immediately set the tone for a more holistic experience.

The treatment itself started with a deep cleanse to remove congestion, followed by a tailored exfoliation chosen for my skin’s needs on the day. Girmaye explained each step as she went, clearly confident in her product and device choices while still responding to how my skin was reacting in real time.

A highlight was Girmaye’s signature lifting facial massage, which was in-depth and noticeably tension-relieving, particularly around the jaw and cheeks. This was paired with LED light therapy to support collagen production, calm inflammation and promote skin healing.

Girmaye chose to perform extractions after the facial massage to avoid aggravating sensitised skin, explaining that this helps minimise redness and inflammation. Slightly smug, I was pleased to discover there was very little to extract, and while Girmaye was mildly disappointed not to find more to work on, it was reassuring that my skin was in good condition.

Products and devices used included Oxygenceuticals, Dermalogica and 3D Aesthetics, reinforcing the treatment’s evidence-led approach while still feeling luxurious. Despite the comprehensive nature of the facial, it never felt overwhelming – each element flowed seamlessly into the next.

The verdict: My skin looked visibly brighter, calmer and more refined, with a noticeable improvement in texture and tone and a “glass skin” glow. I left feeling genuinely relaxed and well cared for. Girmaye’s knowledge and attention to detail were particularly reassuring, and it’s clear she is deeply invested in achieving long-term results for her clients.

Business benefits: Skin by Eden’s model highlights the growing demand for treatments that combine results with wellbeing. The structure allows practitioners to adapt each facial to the client’s changing needs, while the use of professional-grade skincare and device-based therapies supports visible outcomes and long-term client loyalty. Offering extended treatment times also creates an opportunity for premium pricing and a more immersive client experience.

Skin by Eden charges £380 for the 120-minute treatment. skinbyeden.com
