Are educational posts more important than curating an aesthetic feed?

The B Room: “A combination of both would be a nice balance. Clients want to feel comfortable but also shown that we respect their interest in treatments and are willing to share how and why treatments are affective. Plus, it is nice to know the science behind why one product/treatment is better for them than another.”

Natasha Britton: “For me it’s expert-led content every time. A curated feed looks nice, but it’s not what makes someone trust you enough to book, pay a premium, and come back. Everyone can get information now, so just posting 'tips' isn’t enough anymore. Ideally, you’ve got both, but if we’re choosing, I’d choose expert messaging and education that builds trust over pretty aesthetics any day. 💜✨”

@kellymaria_skinhealth_ beauty: “Educational posts are absolutely more important.”

Are clients more educated, or more confused?

@kirstenstewardbeautyaesthetics: “I think they are totally confused! Educating is hard when they listen to influencers and cherry pick 😢”

@polishedmarske: “Most of our clients, including the younger ones, are more confused and purchasing too many inappropriate products or not knowing which to buy to improve their skin. It’s our job to educate them ❤️”

Our Skin Academy: “Clients are definitely more confused!”

This month we asked you…

What is your spring marketing focus?

42% New clients

26% Client retention

17%Treatment packages

15% Retail performance

You had your say…

Should you ever work for free “for exposure?"

@drybeckretreat: “I do treatment swaps. I don't work for free, but I will offer my time in exchange for someone else's time. ”

@thetreatmentroomsbrighton: “Yes, but we’re very selective as to who, and they have to be right for us.”

NunoGois Acupuncture SkinTreatments: “Nothing is free unfortunately, in the current days. Offering something for free as a plausible exchange is the only acceptable option.”
