July was a strong month for salon owners, with over half (54%) reporting better treatment business compared to the same month in 2023. Retail results were more mixed, with 31% seeing improved sales. Despite these challenges, salons achieved a solid 76% average treatment room occupancy.
Understanding how clients prefer to book their appointments is crucial for optimising customer service and operational efficiency. This month’s survey found that the most common method for 32% of respondents is over the phone, followed by in-person bookings at 30%. Digital booking options are gaining traction, with 15% of you seeing most clients book via an app. These insights highlight the importance of offering a variety of channels to cater to different client preferences.
