5 scalpfluencers to follow

You’ve probably ;heard of skinfluencers, but what about scalpfluencers? “ScalpTok” has become a huge subculture in the space of skincare influencing. The skinification of the haircare industry is in full swing and we are here for it. Here are five scalpfluencers to follow

Angela Onuoha

Instagram @Curlbellaa 100k/TikTok 44.8k As a half Nigerian, half Dutch girl growing up in the Netherlands, Angela Onuoha, AKA Curlbellaa, dreamed of having the straight blonde locks of her peers until she learned to love her curls.

Now, as a certified trichologist, she uses her large platform to help others love their hair, especially the scalp from which it grows. Onuoha has recently started to branch out to include skin and makeup content on her feed and is training to become a cosmetic chemist.

Zeph Sanders

Instagram @lifeaszeph 244k / TikTok 862k Zeph Sanders lost his hair at the young age of 19, and with that a lot of confidence. He decided to take action and try everything he could to regrow his hair. Over the past year, thanks to needling, scalp serums and oils, LED light, and of course consistency, Sanders has managed to reverse a lot of his hair loss and has documented all progress online in the hope his openness will help shatter the stigma around men’s hair loss and beauty standards.

Tiffany Hall

Instagram @trichologybytiffanyhall 2.4K Originally a hairdresser, Tiffany Hall has witnessed many men and women of all ages suffer from different forms of hair loss and has seen how hair loss, hair thinning and scalp conditions affect people’s confidence, mental health and wellbeing. Now, as a trichologist, Hall runs two clinics in London, offering consultations, bespoke treatment plans and hair restoration for those experiencing hair loss and scalp concerns, and has just partnered with members’ club and spa Cloud Twelve Club to launch its new Head Spa concept.

Afsennah

Instagram @afsennah 529k / TikTok 863k Certified advanced trichologist Afsennah used to be very insecure about her thin and damaged hair, experiencing bald patches and scalp eczema. Now, her long thick locks are a testament to the scalp health knowledge she has accumulated over the years. She uses her platform to educate her followers about scalp oiling and needling and how to care for the hair to retain length.

Avrin Brillance

Instagram @AvrinBrill 370k / TikTok 28K Avrin Brilliance’s long, shiny locks are enviable and, not being one to gatekeep, the scalp influencer shares all of her tips and tricks for the healthiest skin to grow the healthiest hair.

She makes use of LED light, serums and microneedling in her scalp care routine and regularly shows her audience the impressive rows of new growth she has achieved. She also frequently debunks scalp care myths and explains the most common mistakes people are making.
