Bright side
New treatments help bring a glow to face and body, and we try out some brightening and smoothing services
CACI Clear & Calm Back Facial
Combining skin rejuvenation with microcurrent and LED light therapy, this new treatment focuses on the back to calm “bacne” (back acne), smooth uneven skin tone or reduce the appearance of a lingering scar or blemish. This express treatment can be offered as a 30-minute add-on to a CACI non-surgical treatment or as a standalone service.
After cleansing and toning, the therapist applies gentle microdermabrasion with CACI’s Orbital Abrader, along with the brand’s Ultrasonic Actuator to deep clean pores. The abrader can also be taken over the tops of the arms to smooth bumpy skin. ETR (Enhanced Tissue Repair) pads are then placed on areas of concern to help trigger skin tissue healing. CACI’s Wrinkle Comb then uses alternate red and blue LED light to rejuvenate, heal and take down redness, with microcurrent combined with Skin Calming Gel to finish. As an extra touch, the massage tip of the Orbital Abrader can work across the shoulders on tight muscles.
CACI recommends charging from £50 for 45 minutes. 020 8731 5678 / cacibeauty.com

111 Skin 3D Hollywood Facial
The lowdown: The 3D Hollywood Facial is a 60-minute treatment to help clients get “red carpet ready”. Combining 111 Skin’s celestial black diamond products and clarity range with radiofrequency tightening, the facial lifts and sculpts skin while refining facial contours, leaving skin plump and hydrated. The experience: My treatment at 111 Harley St. began with a consultation with senior aesthetician Rachael Myers, where we discussed my skin concerns, and what I wanted to achieve.
Myers then began by cleansing using the 111 Skin Exfolactic Cleanser before contouring the skin using radiofrequency with Alma’s Accent Prime. She concentrated on the jawline and cheekbones to help contour and lift, to give the appearance of a more “snatched” and slimmed-down facial structure, thanks to the skin-tightening effects.
Due to how congested my skin was at the time, Myers customised the treatment to add in a light peel to help target some of the breakouts, choosing Skinmed’s Enerpeel for the task.
After neutralising the peel, she applied 111 Skin’s Rose Gold Facial Mask, instead of the Celestial Black Diamond Mask usually used in the treatment, to help with instant skin brightening, massaging the face with cold cryotherapy rollers over the mask to de-puff while the mask worked its magic.
The final steps saw Myers remove the mask and massage the remaining product into my skin, using 111
Skin’s Gold Radiance Booster to add another hydration boost, and the Celestial Black Diamond Emulsion to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while boosting skin regeneration and evening the skin tone. The facial was finished with a tinted SPF to ensure any redness was covered and the skin was protected from UV rays.
The verdict: I couldn’t believe how instant the effects of the RF were, with Myers stopping after treating half of my face to show the difference. I walked out of 111 Harley St. with bright and glowing skin, which kept improving over the following days as an after-effect of the peel.
Business benefits: Clients love anything with an instant result, which is what you get from the RF elements of this facial. What’s even better is how it continues to improve in the days and weeks following the treatment. Having the option to switch out products to match your client’s skin concerns also leads to better results and happier clients.
