Award-winning facialist and skincare expert Lisa Franklin shares her five must-have products

If there’s one thing award-winning facialist Lisa Franklin knows thanks to years of experience in the beauty industry and developing her own skincare line, it’s which products are worth investing in. These are her five favourites.

Lisa Franklin Rose Quartz Purifying Clay Mask

Franklin kicked off her top five with a product from her own skincare range.

The Rose Quartz Purifying Clay Mask features white kaolin and pink clays, combined with bio-actives to draw impurities to the skin’s surface while papaya enzymes gently exfoliate.

Why Lisa loves it: “This product will refresh the skin and leave noticeable results. Rose quartz calms inflammation, releases tension and supports cell renewal.”

Delilah Farewell Concealer

Delilah’s Farewell Concealer contains hyaluronic filing sphere technology to combat the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and is a firm favourite of Franklin’s for a posttreatment glow.

Why Lisa loves it: “The use of make-up after a facial is welcomed, and the treatment acts as a base for concealer to blend seamlessly into the skin for that natural-looking radiance without compromising the effects of the facial.”

Vita Liberata Tanning

Vita Liberata is Franklin’s go-to tanning brand for colder seasons, helping her to keep up her summer glow well into autumn and winter without the need for UVA and UVB exposure.

Why Lisa loves it: “Not only does Vita Liberata maintain its ethics for the people, planet and animals as a vegan and cruelty-free product, but it shares the same ethos as my own products by combining the best of nature and science together.”

Alumier MD Recovery Balm

A favourite of Franklin’s following a clinical peel, this Recovery Balm from AlumierMD is formulated with sea whip to soothe skin, and hinokitiol, an antioxidant extracted from the oils of western red cedar trees, which brightens skin.

Why Lisa loves it: “The peels we use [at Franklin’s Clinic Privé in London] require a skin specialist to perform them due to their medical-grade qualities. It is vital the skin is replenished and well looked after post treatment, so I always give a bite-sized version of Recovery Balm to clients to enhance skin health.”

Lisa Franklin Luminescent Base

Rounding out her top five with a second product from her own line, Franklin selected Luminescent Base, which enhances skin by evening tone, reducing the appearance of fine lines, large pores and pigmentation, and acting as a protective layer.

Why Lisa loves it: “This product means so much to me because not only was it the first product I created, but it was the only solution I had to reduce and calm my hyper-sensitive and inflamed skin due to my pustule rosacea.”
