Our exclusive monthly benchmarking stats for each sector of the market

LIPSY

January is the time of year for changes and resolutions, and many people might be thinking of prioritising their mental health this year. This focus on wellbeing isn’t just important to your own career longevity, but also to that of your salon’s employees – something recognised by almost half of this month’s Insider respondents, who offer mental health and wellbeing support to their staff.

It seems almost everyone has an online presence these days, and social media has become increasingly important in how businesses market their services – whether it’s creating fun and engaging videos on TikTok or going down the LinkedIn route. However, it seems that old favourites Facebook and Instagram are still the most popular platforms among beauty business owners, with 46% of this month’s survey’s respondents using Facebook the most.
