GUINOT FRANCHISEE DAY OUT

RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW, ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA, LONDON

The Guinot franchise team hosted a day at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on May 24 for its salon franchisees to celebrate their business growth and dedication to the brand. The group enjoyed breakfast, a three-course lunch and afternoon tea in the peaceful Jardin Blanc hospitality area by Raymond Blanc. Guinot’s guests were also given a sneak peek at an upcoming product launch.

CND INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTOR CONFERENCE

FOUR SEASONS MARRAKESH, MOROCCO

Samantha and Samuel Sweet, co-founders of CND UK distributor Sweet Squared, visited Marrakesh for the CND International Distributor Conference, along with head of marketing Albena Cant and head of sales Fiona Wallace. 86 delegates attended the three-day event – themed “expect the unexpected” – from 60 countries, to hear speakers including CND co-founder Jan Arnold, head of North America for Revlon Pro David Carvalho and Dr David Valla from CND’s R&D department.

EXUVIANCE PROBIOTIC LYSATE ANTI-POLLUTION ESSENCE LAUNCH

THE IVY, LONDON

PB assistant editor Georgia Seago joined cosmeceutical skincare brand Exuviance for breakfast on May 17 to introduce its new product, Probiotic Lysate Anti-Pollution Essence. Marisa Dufort, director of product development and ingredient innovation at parent company Johnson & Johnson, spoke about the use of probiotics in skincare. Other speakers included dermatologist Dr Sandeep Cliff and Victoria Buchanan, strategic researcher from The Future Laboratory.

HYDROPEPTIDE AFTERNOON TEA

DEAN STREET TOWNHOUSE, LONDON

PB’s assistant editor Georgia Seago and deputy editor Amanda Pauley attended skincare brand Hydropeptide’s UK re-launch event. The brand’s chief geneticist Dr Neal Kitchen flew in from the US to talk to selected press about the science and ethos behind the brand over afternoon tea. He also introduced new Nimni Day Cream.

HAZEL DIXON NAIL ARTIST ACADEMY LAUNCH

NORFOLK

Esteemed nail tech Hazel Dixon held an event to celebrate the launch of her HD Nail Artist Academy and Akzentz UK head office. Around 60 fellow techs attended the launch, where they enjoyed lunch and drinks and took home goody bags of products from Dixon’s own professional product range, HD Professional. Guests also watched Dixon demo the latest addition to the range, the Liquid and Powder line.
