Image Skincare UK Worldwide Launch Party
The Century Club Soho, London
Image Skincare welcomed its spa, salon and clinic accounts to the UK leg of its Worldwide Launch Party, held in a private members’ club in London, to reveal its new launches and present awards to the top-performing businesses. PB editor Eve Oxberry went along to meet the leadership team from the US including Sennen Panich, Denise Dente and Michele Snyder, who answered questions about the brand and presented the science behind the new Ageless+ range. There was also a panel discussion on how to organise a successful client event in the salon, with experts including Jessica Mee of JM Medispa and Snowvia Navir of M-Skin & Laser Clinic sharing examples of events that have helped them attract more clients and increase retail sales.
Wild Spa sauna and plunge event
Wild Spa Wowo, Wapsbourne Manor, Uckfield
Set in a serene East Sussex forest glade, this event at Wild Spa Wowo was an interesting immersion into the UK’s growing sauna scene. Sauna expert Katie Bracher delivered a fascinating trend talk, highlighting the growing appetite for nature-connected spa rituals and the cultural revival of authentic sauna practices.
Guests, including features editor Ellen Cummings, then explored three distinct sauna spaces, from a Finnish-style cabin to a clay-lined treatment sauna, and the innovative greenhouse sauna, designed by Bracher herself. Each offered a unique ritual experience, including aufguss and infusion ceremonies. A cold plunge pool added contrast, while a Lithuanian pirtis treatment – combining leaf whisking with steam – was very restorative.
This event captured the essence of sauna culture: elemental, inclusive and grounding. For spa professionals seeking to diversify their offering with outdoor wellness or sauna rituals, Wild Spa Wowo is a must-visit destination for inspiration.
Human Health Core Launch
Shoreditch House, London
Deputy editor Kezia Parkins was invited to the launch of Human Health Core by cosmetic surgeon Dr Mayoni Gooneratne – a holistic wellness platform. The theme of the launch was “moving out of brain fog into clarity – understanding and optimising cognitive function”. With cocktails and canapés flowing, guests got to hear from Dr Mayoni herself about the mission behind the brand and the power of understanding women’s hormonal health, as well as the fascinating Stefan Chmelik, expert on anxiety, stress and trauma and founder of Sensate. Conversations also centred around the root causes of brain fog (including hormonal, metabolic, neurological factors), its impact on performance, longevity, daily life and new strategies for cognitive optimisation.
Nira Pro+ launch event
The Science Museum, London
Nira’s launch of the new Pro+ device was marked by an evening at London’s Science Museum, offering guests, including Kezia and Ellen, a look at the latest developments in laser skincare.
The event opened with a presentation from Nira founder and laser expert David Bean, who gave insight into the science behind the brand’s newest at-home laser innovation, the Pro+, which offers 50% more power and 35% faster treatment times than its predecessor. Designed for wrinkle reduction and skin rejuvenation in just two minutes a day, the Pro+ is FDA-cleared and suitable for all skin tones. With clinical results showing 93% of users reached their skin goals, the Pro+ is a great addition for professionals to retail as an effective maintenance option between professional in-clinic laser treatments.
Guests were then treated to a three-course, space-themed dinner beneath a rocket in the museum’s iconic Exploring Space gallery – an especially memorable setting as the exhibit prepares to close after 40 years.
Nadmed launch event
Asia House, London
Everyone’s talking about NAD+ at the moment and Eve went along to an evening event that took a deep dive into how the coenzyme really works. Nadmed is a Finnish company that is launching its NAD+ and NADH testing service into the UK market to allow clinics and wellness centres to offer a quick blood test to measure clients’ NAD levels and determine whether supplements will benefit them. During a panel discussion, Nadmed’s co-founder and chief operating officer Jana Buzkova explained how the brand’s research has enabled it to create a reliable assessment of population reference values for NAD based on 300 blood samples, while the brand’s chief executive Jari Närhi explained how NADs are necessary for every cell of every living creature, regulating a number of metabolic processes. Eve was able to take a test at the event, which came back showing normal levels of both NAD+ and NADH.
