June was a positive month for beauty salon owners, with 47% reporting improved treatment business compared to the same month in 2023. An additional 40% experienced consistent performance, while 13% faced declines. Retail business mirrored these trends.

Sun damage remains a significant concern across various age groups, with a recent survey showing that suncare is a major blind spot for many Brits (read more on page 10). The most affected clients appear to fall within the 41-50 age range, with 43% of you reporting the most cases in this demographic. Following this group are clients aged 51-60 (29%) and 61-70 (14%). These insights underscore the importance of targeted sun safety education and skincare treatments tailored to different age groups.
