Dermalux Artful Science event

Celebrating the Tri-Wave MD device, Dermalux invited skincare professionals and press to learn about the benefits of light therapy and experience a treatment in collaboration with Alumier MD.
The event kicked off with a talk from dentist and advanced facial aesthetics clinician Dr Nina Bal and plastic surgeon Mr George Christopoulos about the mechanics of LED light therapy, and why the Tri-Wave MD is their device of choice. Alumier MD’s medical communications manager Victoria Hiscock also shared insight into why Dermalux and Alumier MD are collaborating.
Guests, including PB’s editorial assistant Erin Leybourne, then tried the device in combination with an Alumier MD facial, before being made up by professional makeup artists on set, and sent on their way with fresher, brighter skin.
Revitalash Power of Pink event
Bacchanalia, London
In celebration of the brand’s commitment to supporting cancer charities all year round, Revitalash distributor Harpar Grace International invited beauty professionals and press to a Power of Pink event. Over a delicious Italian feast in the private dining room of London restaurant Bacchanalia, guests including PB’s editor Eve Oxberry and senior content writer Ellen Cummings heard about the cult lash growth serum’s origins as a product created by founder Dr Michael Brinkenhoff to help his wife regrow her lashes during her battle with breast cancer. Revitalash president Lori Jacobus was over from the US to talk to guests about the brand’s Eternally Pink Pledge, which sees a portion of each sale go to support cancer charities around the world.
Environ breakfast
IIAA HQ, London
Deputy editor Kezia Parkins went along to IIAA’s head office, located on London’s Southbank overlooking spectacular views of the city. The breakfast event took place to take advantage of Environ founder Dr Des Fernandes’s trip to London. Ahead of Dr Fernandes’s presentation, in partnership with Environ’s medical advisor Dr Matthias Aust and co-founder Tracey Tamaris, guests got some one-on-one time with Dr Fernandes to discuss the upcoming changes to retinol regulation, the different mechanisms of action between retinol and retinal as well as the brand’s exciting new retinol serums – Focus Care Youth+ and Focus Care Youth+ Forte. The new formulations are recommended as add-on boosters to daily vitamin A topical replenishment.
