September 2024 saw a positive performance for many beauty salons, with 38% reporting improved treatment sales compared to the same month in 2023.

Meanwhile, 29% of salon owners noted consistent results, indicating steady customer demand, although 33% saw a decline. When it comes to uniforms, a significant 54% of salon owners consult their staff and take their input into account, helping to create a more positive working environment. An additional 29% of you allow your staff to make adjustments to their uniform, such as accessories and their own choice of shoes.

Staff turnover continues to be a challenge for 54% of salon owners, but fostering an inclusive atmosphere can contribute to higher retention. For more tips on retention, check out our article on page 56.
