New treatments this month provide holistic support and rejuvenating experiences for clients

Gaia Menopause

Gaia Skincare has introduced the Gaia Menopause treatment to spa partners nationwide, supported by a fully online training programme. Developed to meet growing demand for menopause-focused therapies, the treatment provides holistic support for clients experiencing perimenopause and menopause.

Originally launched at Gaia’s spa at Boringdon Hall Hotel in Devon, the protocol combines therapeutic touch, natural skincare and specialist techniques to support both the physical and emotional symptoms associated with hormonal change.

Available in 60- and 90-minute formats, the treatment begins with a back, neck and shoulder massage to support the nervous system. A cooling jade facial massage follows to relieve inflammation and hot flushes.

The 90-minute experience also includes a balancing foot massage, designed to stimulate reflexology points and support emotional equilibrium, using Gaia's Fitness Gel to cool the body, reduce inflammation and ease discomfort linked to symptoms such as restless legs and overheating.

Tried & tested: Buff Browz/Buff Lashes Korean Lash Lift

The lowdown: This 60-minute lash enhancement treatment is designed to lift and curl lashes while supporting their health. It uses a cysteamine-based solution enriched with hydrating ingredients, rather than a thioglycolate-based formula, to restructure lash bonds – resulting in a more natural-looking lift.

The experience: I visited Sugar Cane Salon in Clapham Old Town, where Buff Browz/Buff Lashes elite tech Stanley Lupsom is based Tuesday to Thursday. Following a consultation to discuss my desired outcome, Lupsom talked me through each stage of the treatment. As the eye area is particularly sensitive, he explained the sensations I might experience throughout and encouraged me to flag any discomfort.

He cleansed the eye area using Buff Browz Purify and Detox. Under-eye pads were applied before the cysteamine-based lifting solution was placed on the roots to mid-lengths and left to process for 12–14 minutes. This step relaxes the lash structure before setting. Ingredients such as hydrolysed collagen, wheat protein and glycerine support hydration, while Heavenly Balm was applied to the tips for nourishment.

Buff Lashes Vitalash was applied to infuse nutrients before moving to the setting stage. Using teardrop-shaped shields, my lashes were positioned with Glue Balm and separated with a comb. A hydrogen peroxide-based setting solution, formulated with citric acid to maintain pH, was applied for 12–14 minutes. During this time, Lupsom shared aftercare advice, before applying a tint to enhance the final result. To finish, Lupsom again applied the brand’s Vitalash Serum, which includes ceramides and amino acids, to strengthen.

The verdict: The treatment felt both considered and comfortable throughout, with Lupsom’s clear communication adding to the experience. Immediately after, my lashes appeared noticeably longer, lifted and more evenly fanned out. Three weeks post-treatment, the lift has held well, maintaining its shape without any noticeable drop. The overall effect remains natural yet defined, making it a low-maintenance option for enhancing the eye area.

Business benefits: A Korean lash lift offers a gentle option, but it’s important to recognise that cysteamine and TGA deliver different results depending on the client. Neither ingredient is inherently nourishing – these benefits come from the added actives within the formula, with Buff Browz/Buff Lashes incorporating botanical extracts and conditioning ingredients.

Lemi has introduced the Sorrento Head Spa, a multifunctional treatment bed designed to combine massage and head spa services within a single workstation. Developed for spas, resorts and clinics, the system helps operators to optimise space while delivering a continuous, full-body treatment experience.

The bed features an integrated retractable wash basin, allowing a seamless transition between body treatments and head spa rituals. Inspired by Japanese techniques, the head spa function combines scalp cleansing and massage with a controlled water flow to support relaxation and circulation.

A memory foam mattress enhances client comfort by evenly distributing weight, while an adjustable horseshoe headrest supports ergonomic positioning. The fully electric system, with three motors for height, backrest and leg rest adjustment, allows precise positioning and improved therapist ergonomics.

Tried & tested: Manual lymphatic drainage at ART Clinic

The lowdown: ART Clinic is a luxury medical aesthetics destination in Belgravia, founded by Dr Priya Verma, a GP and aesthetics doctor known for her expertise in laser skin tightening, particularly Endolift. The clinic takes a multimodality approach to treatment, combining advanced technologies with supportive therapies such as manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) to optimise results.

The experience: Following an Endolift treatment at ART Clinic, I was recommended a course of four MLD sessions with senior therapist Josie Costa to support recovery and enhance my results. The treatment uses light, rhythmic and highly precise movements, and Costa worked methodically across my face and neck, focusing on key lymphatic pathways. The pressure is intentionally gentle, but her technique felt purposeful – more clinical than indulgent, yet still very relaxing.

Across the four sessions, I noticed a visible reduction in puffiness, particularly around the lower face and jawline where post-Endolift swelling had been most apparent. My skin looked clearer and more refined, and there was a noticeable improvement in overall contour as the excess fluid dissipated.

Costa’s experience in post-procedure care was evident throughout. She adapted each session depending on how my skin was responding, combining lymphatic techniques with elements of sculptural massage to further enhance definition.

The verdict: MLD proved to be a valuable addition to my post-treatment plan. While Endolift helps to deliver structural tightening, the lymphatic drainage played a crucial role in refining and revealing those results more quickly.

For clients investing in advanced aesthetic procedures, this kind of aftercare shouldn’t be seen as optional – it meaningfully enhances outcomes while improving the recovery experience. With expert delivery and a luxury setting, ART Clinic’s approach strikes a balance between clinical efficacy and wellbeing.
